The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has launched an operation targeting 203 fugitives wanted for serious offenses, including murder and drug trafficking, who are believed to be hiding in South America. This has already led to the arrest or location of 21 individuals, said on Monday the international police agency.
The fugitives are wanted for other serious offenses including, rape, child sexual abuse and kidnapping, Efe reported.
Supported by US and Canadian authorities, 34 countries take part in the operation, including Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela.
