 Scots climber saw friend die in mountain tragedy: "A CLIMBER has told how he watched his friend die after their party was caught up in a violent blizzard while trying to conquer South America’s highest mountain.
Australian Bob Huggins, 64, lost his fight for life as the group huddled together to stave off frostbite and hypothermia in a tiny, wooden shelter.
Andrew Hay, 27, from Aberdeen, who almost lost his fingers through frostbite as temperatures plunged to minus 40C, is preparing to fly back to Scotland after recovering from his ordeal."
